ICC Supply Chain Forum at DIHK
Regulating International Trade: The More, The Better?
The pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have greatly changed the environment for international trade. Governments and companies alike have to adapt to ever new crises, which are becoming an increasing factor of uncertainty. As a result, globalisation is undergoing a realignment. Companies are shifting their production processes and seeking new suppliers, while governments are developing strategies to secure the supply of critical raw materials. At the same time, stricter regulations regarding the monitoring of supply chains put a bureaucratic burden on international trade. How are companies responding to the new demands and what support do they need? What role do trade agreements play? How can a new cooperative approach look like at the multilateral level? And which opportunities does a realignment of supply chains provide?
Together with representatives from politics and the business community, we would like to discuss the question Regulating International Trade: The More, The Better? The event is jointly organised by DIHK and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Germany and marks the start of the three-day Supply Chain Forum of ICC Germany. We cordially invite you to register for the event on 21st of March 2023 at the DIHK and look forward to your participation!
