Particularly in times of global challenges, strengthening the multilateral trading system is important and therefore a core topic of Germany's G7 presidency. Business7 (B7), the official business dialogue of the G7, has important impulses in this regard. Together with BDI and BDA, the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) e.V. represents German businesses in the B7 process.

At the event, the B7 recommendations on trade policy will be discussed with representatives of the German government, international organizations and the business community - in particular on the topics of rules-based trade and resilient supply chains.

Among the speakers are:

  • Dr. Jörg Kukies, G7/G20-Sherpa Germany
  • Anabel Gonzalez, WTO Deputy Director-General
  • Ulrik Knudsen, OECD Deputy Secretary-General
  • Dr. Christian Forwick, Head of Section Foreign Trade and Trade Policy, Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate
  • Yvonne Denz, President and CEO Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce
  • Dr. Volker Treier, DIHK Chief Executive of Foreign Trade and Member of the Executive Board
